La productividad de los examinadores de la USPTO
El inspector general del Departamento de Comercio de los EEUU ha hecho público un informe donde se recogen los resultados del estudio realizado sobre la productividad de los examinadores de patentes de la USPTO.
Las recomendaciones del informe son las siguientes:
1. Reevaluate current patent examiner goals and assess the merits of revising them to reflect efficiencies in and changes to work processes resulting from automation and other enhancements.
2. Examine the benefits of revising patent examiner performance plans to (a) better reflect agency production, first action and overall pendency goals, and (b) better measure examiner success at processing applications within specified time periods.
3. Evaluate the current patent examiner award system to determine if there is a more effective and efficient way to stimulate higher examiner production.
