Propuesta de Brasil y Argentina a la OMPI

A traves de diversos medios se ha filtrado una propuesta que Argentina y Brasil haran en la ronda de Asambleas de la OMPI, que se celebrará a finales de este mes, y cuya conclusión es la siguiente:

A vision that promotes the absolute benefits of intellectual property protection without acknowledging public policy concerns undermines the very credibility of the IP system. Integrating the development dimension into the IP system and WIPO's activities, on the other hand, will strengthen the credibility of the IP system and encourage its wider acceptance as an important tool for the promotion of innovation, creativity and development.

Importante también es la llamada de atención que hace el documento a nuevos modelos dentro de este ambito como pueden ser Creative Commons, el Proyecto Genoma Humano y el desarrollo de SW de código abierto.
